Scouting is more than an active youth program - it is a way of life - a code for living set in terms that boys of every age can understand and follow. The urge to play games, learn skills, and gain leadership experience is fundamental for youth of every age. Troop 29, using the Scouting method of group teamwork and selective adult involvement, takes advantage of the urge to play and learn through camping trips, hikes, community projects, and many other activities. Our Troop focuses on helping boys develop the confidence, self-esteem, and the life skills, such as leadership and working as a team, so they will be more successful in life. Families with boys in 5th grade through
high school are invited to visit us every Friday during the school year,
from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in St. Anne's cafeteria at 319 E. Franklin St., Barrington, IL. Setup begins at 7:00 and the opening ceremony starts at 7:15. Please email our Scoutmaster, Tom Mitoraj - scoutmaster@troop29barrington.org, if you have any questions. |
