Troop 29
 Barrington, Illinois

Welcome to the Boy Scout Troop 29 website!  Our troop meets weekly during the school year at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street, Barrington, Illinois 60010.  We meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30 until 8:00 pm in lower level, school cafeteria.  We have a more relaxed meeting schedule over the summer meeting outdoors at Citizen's Park in Barrington.

We have scouts in grades 5 through 12 and are an active troop.  We camp monthly, attend summer camp at Camp Owasippe in Twin Lake, Michigan and older scouts go on High Adventure trips annually.  We are in the Signal Hill District based in Arlington Heights, Illinois and the Pathway to Adventure Council.

We promote scout independence by encouraging boys to move efficiently through the ranks at their own pace.  Boys are encouraged to earn Merit Badges on their own or at camping trips.  We also provide opportunities for service projects throughout the year.  Our troop supplies tents and camping equipment to our scouts for troop campouts.  We camp on weekends, generally leaving on Friday evening and returning on Sunday around noon.  All BSA policies are followed to provide safe and fun adventures!

Prospective members are welcome to join us at a Thursday evening meeting.  Please check our troop calendar to find our next regular meeting.
